ORIGINAL SHEET DOOR

Porvene's 200 Series Sheet Doors are the

"Original Sheet Door", introduced into the United

States in the 1960's. It's ease of operation and

economical price has made it an industry

standard within the construction industry. This

product can be Insulated, Wind-locked™ , and

built with a pass door. This complete product line

is available, depending on size, as Hand

Operation or Chain Operation and can be

upgraded to Electric Operation.

Standard Features:

  1. Grease-less Nylon Bearings
    This exclusive feature delivers longer life
    than metal bearings, without costly
    maintenance.

  2. Drum Assembly
    The counter balancing mechanism is
    housed in this unique, roll-up assembly,
    forming a self enclosed hood.

  3. Lock Seam
    The sections are lock seamed together. If
    one section is damaged beyond repair, it
    can be easily replaced.

  4. Weather Seal
    A blade astragal made from E.P.D.M., a
    highly resilient and flexible rubber
    compound, runs the full length of the
    bottom angle to seal the threshold of the
    opening. This forms a barrier against|
    weather, dirt, insects and rodents.

  5. Guides
    Roll formed single piece guide standard on
    all doors.

  6. Chain Operation
    smooth hand-chain provides safe and
    comfortable operation eliminating the
    sharp edges common to lock link hand
    chain.

  7. Locking Assembly
    Exclusive tamper-proof slide bolt lock
    accommodates two padlocks for double
    protection.

  8. Galvanized Steel Curtain
    A continuous sheet of .021" galvanized

ROLLING COMMERCIAL SLAT DOOR

 

Porvene's 300 Series Commercial Slat Doors
offer the economy of a sheet door with the added
strength of a service door. This Model is available
with 24 Gauge or 22 Gauge steel slat curtain
(some sizes available in 24 gauge only) and can
be Wind - locked. This complete product line
comes standard with chain operation and can be
upgraded to electric operation.
Standard Features:

  1. Sealed Ball Bearings
    Self-aligning and allow lasting free
    rotation.

  2. Drum Assembly
    The counter balancing mechanism is
    housed in this unique, roll-up assembly,
    forming a self enclosed hood.

  3. Steel Slat Curtain
    All slats are manufactured from the
    highest quality galvanized steel with a
    baked enamel finish, to form an effective
    secure curtain.
    Available curved or flat. (Available in 24 or
    22 gauge.)

  4. Bottom Bar
    Full length structural steel angle with
    blade astragal. The blade astragal forms a
    barrier against weather, dirt, insects and
    rodents. Slide bolt lock can accommodate
    padlocks.

  5. Guides
    Structural steel wall angle with galvanized
    roll-form U-Channel guides.

  6. Chain Operation
    Reduction Drive standard on all doors.
    Smooth hand-chain provides safe and
    comfortable operation eliminating the
    sharp edges common to lock link hand
    chain.

THE ROLLING STEEL SERVICE DOOR

 

Porvene's 400 Series Service Doors offer
24/22/20/18 gauge slats for additional strength.
Our new and innovative slat design reduces the
snapping sounds that come from metal to metal
contact common to rolling steel slat doors when
the door is opening and closing. Powder Coating
in a wide variety of colors is also available. This
product line comes standard with Chain
Operation and can be upgraded to Electric
Operation.
Standard Features:

  1. Steel Slat Curtain
    All slats are manufactured from the
    highest quality galvanized steel with a
    baked enamel prime finish. Available in 18
    ga., 20 ga., 22 ga., or 24 ga. flat or curved
    slat.

  2. Guides
    Minimum 3/16" structural steel angle. (roll
    formed guides on 24 gauge doors up to
    14.0"x14.0".)

  3. Bottom Bar
    Two 2" x 2" x 1/8" thick structural steel
    angles form a rugged bottom bar
    assembly. A rubber bottom astragal helps
    to conform to floor irregularities and helps
    guard against weather, dirt, insects and
    rodents.

  4. Pipe Barrel
    Continuous 6" minimum diameter pipe to
    support curtain with no more than .03" of
    deflection per foot of width.

  5. Counterbalance
    Helical torsion springs are oil tempered
    and grease packed. Springs are designed
    for 20,000 cycles minimum and are
    accurately calculated for every door using
    Porvene's uniquely designed "Door
    Dynamometer".


  6. Door Stops
    Stops are located on the inside and
    outside of the guides for added safety.

  7. Hood
    24 Gauge galvanized steel with a baked
    enamel prime finish hood that forms an
    enclosure at the top of the door.

  8. Chain Hoist
    Heavy duty #50 roller chain and sprockets
    combined with a smooth hand-chain
    provides for safe and efficient operation.
    Removal of chain hoist makes door
    Electric Operation ready without further
    modification or cost.

  9. Sealed Ball Bearing
    Self-aligning and allow free rotation of
    barrel.

THE QUIET GLIDE GRILLE DOOR

 

Porvene's 500 Series Quiet Glide Grille is
constructed using Aluminum tubes over solid
steel rods giving added strength for security and
features low friction nylon blocks mounted to the
bottom bar for quiet operation. Clear anodized
finish is standard on the guides, bottom bar and
round tubes. Available anodized finishes are
Gold, Dark Bronze, Light Bronze and Black. The
complete line is available, dependent on size, as
Hand Operation or Chain Operation and can be
upgraded to Electric Operation.
Standard Features:

  1. Grille Curtain
    Clear anodized aluminum tubes over steel
    rods for added strength and security.

  2. Guides
    Clear anodized extruded aluminum with
    polyethylene wear strips for smooth
    operation.

  3. Bottom Bar
    clear anodized aluminum with low friction
    nylon blocks mounted at ends for smooth
    and quiet operation.

  4. Locking
    Center mounted key cylinder lock
    operable from inside or outside (optional).

  5. Hood
    24 gauge galvanized steel painted hood
    (optional).

  6. Counterbalance
    Helical torsion springs calculated for
    optimal ease of operation.

Insulated Slat Curtain: Environmentally Safe
Polyisocyannurate insulating material housed
between a 22 gauge front slat and a 24 gauge
back slat.

Guides: Structual steel wall angle with vinyl
jamb weatherseal.

Bottom Bar: Two 2” x 2” x 1/8” structural steel
angles form a rugged bottom bar assembly. A
vinyl bulb astragal helps to conform to floor
irregularities and helps guard against weather,
dirt, insects and rodents. 

Pipe Barrel: Continuous minimum 6” diameter
pipe to support door curtain with no more than
.03” of deflection per foot of width.

Door Stops: Removable stops located on
inside and outside of the guides for added safety.

●Hood: 24 Gauge galvanized steel with a baked
enamel prime finish hood including an 8” baffle to
help seal out the elements.
